Eventually, the activity of touring three troupes, running the school, and publishing the “Mime Times” newsletter required more administrative help. In 1976, Alan Day became Company Manager, and NEA grants supported management and the development of new performance material. CETA grants also propelled a fourth touring company, The Puppet Bus Theater. At this point, Tony Montanaro’s Celebration Mime Theatre was at full creative tilt with three companies touring successfully across the U.S.
