| By 1982, the “Barn Shows” showcasing student and professional performers drew large audiences. The Celebration Theater Ensemble was formed in 1983, consisting of (pictured, L to R) Jackie Reifer, Frans Rijnbout, Shelley Wallace, and John Saccone. The new company began touring the U.S. and Canada with highlight performances at Lincoln Center and four television specials with Tony for Swedish National Television. As an extension of the work created at the Celebration Barn, Tony and the Ensemble created The Theater of Fantasy in Portland, Maine in 1985. |
