Leland Faulkner
The Montanaro Method

Leland Faulkner's first professional training was with Celebration Barn’s founder, Tony Montanaro, in 1974.  This was followed by an apprenticeship, and then a three year performing partnership. Leland and Tony taught workshops together at the Celebration Barn where Leland was Artistic Director and co-owner from 1988 to 1992.

In the early 1990’s, he left Maine for California to study film production at the Brooks Institute and holds a degree in motion picture studies. His entry of “As Luck Would Have It” won a National Cine-Eagle in 1997, and in 2004, Leland was a consultant for the Castle Rock feature The Polar Express.

Leland is now at work completing two new films: The King O'Cats, due out in the fall of 2006, and The Theatre of Inspiration, a documentary on the life and work of Tony Montanaro, due out in the summer of 2006.

Leland continues to tour nationally and internationally, and he is glad to be teaching at Celebration Barn once again.
